Based in Montréal and under the responsibility of the Technical Supervisor, the Building Operator performs the following tasks:
- Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of various systems (electricity, heating, plumbing, piping, HVAC, fire protection).
- Analyze and adjust these systems as needed.
- Ensure their compliance with building codes and standards.
- Take the initiative to perform minor repairs, general maintenance, and other tasks of varying complexity.
- Respond to calls organized by the dispatcher, such as: discomfort due to temperature, water infiltration, ventilation noises, tripped circuit breakers, faulty outlets, etc.
- Perform preventive work during regular hours as determined by the team’s needs.
- Be available during certain pre-established periods to respond to emergency calls.
- Coordinate some tasks performed by workers.
- Prioritize health and safety during interventions while following the procedures and methods in place within the building.
- Maintain good relationships with various building stakeholders and proudly represent the image of MACH.
- Perform all other related tasks.
**Qualifications**:
- Hold at least a high school diploma.
- A vocational diploma in building maintenance is an asset.
- Possess three (3) years of experience in a similar role.
- A versatile, open-minded, resourceful, and autonomous individual who enjoys working in a team.
- Customer service excellence orientation.
