We are a convenience store looking for part-time **Cashier/Sales Associates. **Our hours of operation are from 7AM to 9PM.

A **Cashier/Sales Associate** is responsible for directly interacting with customers to answer questions and resolve issues. You will provide customer service, including advising our customers about products or services, as well as handling sales or cash transactions. As a **Cashier/Sales Associate**, you should have excellent communication skills, as you will represent the company's brand to customers. To succeed in this role, you must be confident in building relationships with customers, while using the required technologies to meet sales targets.

**Responsibilities**:

- Use in-depth knowledge of product and services to assist customers and make sales.
- Provide accurate, complete and relevant information.
- Answer questions and address concerns regarding products and services.
- Explain payment and return policies.
- Collect customer feedback in order to improve store services.
- Tell customers about sales, promotions and product features.
- Create a warm and welcoming environment through chit-chat, small talk and polite behavior.
- Attend to customers by providing price checks and tracking inventory levels.
- Accept payments, complete transactions (e.g. counting cash register till).

**Qualifications**:

- High school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in a retail store
- Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions
- Understanding of general or post office accounting systems.
- Having previous **Cashier/Sales Associate **experience would be an advantage
- Effective communication skills
- Willing to learn and be ready to adhere to company policies

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $15.65 per hour

Day range:

- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift

- Evening shift
- Morning shift

Work setting:

- Convenience store

**Experience**:

- Cashier/Sales Associate: 1 year (preferred)
