**Primary Purpose**

Fleming College, Toronto Programs is a public college-private partnership between Fleming College and Trebas Institute, with academic delivery and student support services managed by Trebas Institute.

FCT is looking for an experienced Mathematics or Accounting/Finance educator to join our team as an Academic Facilitator. The role holder will have exceptional organizational and communication skills to lead class lessons and discussions on 1:1 basis, while encouraging students to develop skills and knowledge critically and rationally.

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Organize coursework and learning materials, and lead class lessons, discussions, and presentations by bringing excitement, enthusiasm, and commitment to the sessions.
- Plan, prepare and deliver various math/accounting-related topics for drop-in sessions 1:1 sessions.
- Help reinforce understanding of concepts taught in class.
- Clarify problems similar to those on graded assignments.
- Review submitted assignments to help students identify areas for improvement.
- Challenge ideas, and encourage students to develop skills and knowledge critically and rationally.
- Maintain attendance records for planning and forecasting relating to classroom management.
- Evaluate and regularly review students’ progress and provide feedback.
- Create a supportive and positive classroom environment.

**Position Requirements**

**Education and Experience**:

- Degree in Education, Mathematics, Accounting/Finance or equivalent required.
- Experience teaching in a multicultural classroom.

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to motivate students to achieve their learning objectives.
- Ability to accommodate differences in students’ learning styles.
- An adaptable and understanding personality with a professional attitude and a dedication to excellence in teaching.
- Passionate about the language, student learning and education.
