We are looking for a crew member to join our maintenance team. Our crews follow pre-established schedules (know your schedule for the month ahead) specifications, and procedures. This position can be a year round position, transitioning to snow removal in the winter for any interested crew members.

What your day would look like as a member of our team:

- You show up wearing the proper gear and ready for the day ahead with a positive attitude to our yard which is centrally located in Manchester Industrial and meet up with your crew for the day.
- You have your phone (which we pay you an extra $20 allowance every pay for) so you can see where you are going, and who you are working with and get updates throughout the day as needed
- We work on mostly large housing or commercial sites, some days you will be at only a couple of sites since they are large and require a lot of care, other days you will be caring for a number of smaller sites.
- Each week can be a little different but generally will involve mowing, trimming, weeding and caring for the outdoors, making sites beautiful and clean for the people who live or work there. Sometimes we will have a special project that you will help out with such as planting, or clearing out undergrowth etc.
- You get to be outside, in a physically active job and generally will always have every weekend off.

What we are looking for
- Minimum 2 year of landscaping maintenance experience is preferred
- Good working knowledge of maintenance equipment and gardening tools - mowers, trimmers, blowers, hand tools for weeding etc.
- Someone who will be motivated, responsible and has an eye for detail.
- **Bonuses for us - Someone who can drive and is able is able to be insured under the company insurance and able to drive a truck & trailer (25 years+ year of age, 3 years continuous insurance IN YOUR NAME, clean drivers abstract). WE PAY EXTRA FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN DRIVE OUR TRUCK and trailer**

We pay industry standard competitive wages based on previous experience and skills. Work is available until November with potential to join our snow crew for the winter.

Full-time, part-time $21-23/hour

Overview of Responsibilities
- Daily Tasks Include:

- Ensure each job is in compliance with Landscapes By Genuine Standards
- follow safety standards
- Proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) steel toed boots required
- Ensuring proper use, care and inventory of company vehicles, equipment and tools
- Monitoring irrigation systems on site to ensure proper working order and efficiency

**Requirements**:

- Have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a landscape maintenance position
- Be capable of working independently with little supervision

Wage: $21-23/hr based on experience

Hours: 35+ hrs/week

Location: Various locations around Calgary

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Outdoors, physically demanding, attention to detail, fast-paced environment

Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's license

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Area of Work Experience: Landscape maintenance, pruning, mowing, edging, planting and small power equipment operation

Specific Skills: Operate landscaping equipment, clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks, conduct pre-operational checks on equipment

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma; but experience a must
