Site Foreman

**George A. Wright & Son**, a Tessera Group company, has been building a tradition of quality and customer service in the food, pharmaceutical and consumer goods manufacturing industries since 1894. We design, manufacture, and install all kinds of material handling equipment in manufacturing facilities throughout the GTA and South-Central Ontario.

We're looking to add a **Site Foreman (Mechanical) **to our growing team. This role is responsible for supervising mechanical sites under the direction of the project management team. We're looking for someone with hands-on mechanical experience, including a strong understanding of industrial installation projects, including an in-depth knowledge of job-site safety, rigging, millwrighting, utility piping and electrical services. This role is a great stepping stone into a Junior Project Management role.

**Key Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Set and maintain job-site standards for health and safety
- Work with project management, customers and coworkers to develop and document a scope of work for customer projects
- Work with project management and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery, by managing scope of work, cost, schedule, quality and customer expectations
- Work with team of skilled tradespeople within a plant environment, coordinating with supervisors, project management and our manufacturing team to fabricate, install, remove and service a variety of conveying and automation equipment
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
- Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Must be available to work overtime (weekends) per the needs of the business

**Qualifications, Skills and Attitude**:

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial installations and/or industrial project management
- Journeyman’s license (Millwright, etc.), preferred
- Tech-savvy with working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software
- Knowledge of manufacturing industry regulations, standards and practices
- Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced team environment and work to timelines
- Strong negotiating skills; exceptional verbal and written communication
- Strong leadership skills, with ability to effectively motivate others
- Proven organization and multi-tasking skills
- Entrepreneurial work ethic with strong drive to see project through completion
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites throughout the GTA and South-Central Ontario, valid G drivers license and personal vehicle are required.
