As part of the Mountain Operations Department you will also be responsible for first-aid and accident response and documentation, lift evacuation, mountain evacuation by vehicle in event of weather or equipment related lift stoppages. Training will be provided but prior experience and aptitude is an asset.

You will also be required to help as needed in all Lake Louise Ski Resort departments as required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manual and machine maintenance of trails, lawns, parking lots and all other public spaces
- Public relations with guests at mid-mountain and providing assistance where required
- Providing or assisting with First-aid for guests and staff
- Able to actively participate in on mountain lift evacuation
- Raking, cultivating, and spreading seed and fertilizer on sites
- Providing courtesy shuttle service from lift to Lodge when requested
- Working in various construction settings, including with and around different types of machinery and equipment
- Daily bear fence and trail checks
- Adhering to LLSR and Parks Canada procedures and regulations
- Site clean-up including construction waste or woody debris
- Monitoring and reporting presence of wildlife at LLSR, managing public
- Office work will be generally limited to a morning check-in and filling out a daily report at the end of the day. The applicant should expect to work outdoors daily
- Ensuring safe work sites
- Working with ski area staff to maintain and improve relations with the community, Parks Canada, environmental groups and the public

**Job Requirements/Qualifications**:

- A positive attitude, pleasant personality, good ethical and communication skills, combined with the ability and willingness to enforce policies and procedures in a professional manner as required
- A valid first-aid certificate, Intermediate or Advanced preferred. ( in-house training may be available)
- Enjoy working outdoors daily in all-weather conditions
- Willingness to hike to remote work locations on a daily basis
- Self-motivated, must be capable of working with a team as well as independently with mínimal supervision
- Physically fit; capable of lifting/carrying 10-50lbs
- Able to actively participate in on mountain lift evacuation
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s license (or international equivalent) with clean driving record (abstract/traffic history report must be provided before commencement of employment)
- Minimum high school graduation; post-secondary education would be an asset
- Field studies and work-related experience in multi-disciplined areas are an asset
- Local knowledge of the area and/or resort, along with experience in outdoor environments is preferred.
- Follow all LLSR policies and procedures.
- Adhere to LLSR Grooming Policy at all times.
- A police background check, from your home country or province, will be required upon commencement of employment.
- Able to commit to the majority of the summer season, from mid-May to Early October

**Work Schedule**:
4 days on / 3 days off

Schedules may vary throughout your contract.

**Dress Code**:
Outdoor uniform (jacket and pants) which is provided for a rental fee, you are to provide all other necessary items in accordance with appearance policy.
