General Maintenance Worker

**The Inuulitsivik Health Centre (IHC) is currently looking for a General Maintenance Worker to work in the villages along the Hudson Bay coast within the communities.**

Working at the Inuulitsivik Health Centre (IHC) means being part of a dedicated team committed to improving the health, well-being, and living conditions of Inuit communities by offering accessible and integrated services. IHC employs over 1,100 people and is part of the Quebec health and social services network in the Nunavik region. It provides health and social services to the population of 8,000 people across 7 communities along the Hudson Bay, from Kuujjuarapik to Salluit. It also manages Ullivik, a service located in Dorval that houses Inuit individuals who travel south for specialized care.

**Salary**:
27.92$ per hour

**Northern premiums and other employment conditions**:

- Isolation premium (without dependents) between 221.92$ and 261.79$ per week or between 391.18$ and 461.52$ (with dependents) per week depending on the village
- Retention premium (para-technical staff, auxiliary services, and trades): between 34.78$ and 68.13$ per week depending on the village and seniority
- High cost of living premium: between 58.40$ and 188.72$ per week depending on the village
- Skilled workers' premium: 15%, if applicable
- Reimbursement for flight tickets for 3 or 4 trips per year
- Furnished accommodation that suits your needs (taxable benefit)
- Reimbursement of transportation costs for personal effects and storage

- Perform or execute electrical installation, renovation, or repair work of all kinds.

**Academic Requirements**:

- Hold a diploma in industrial mechanics for construction and maintenance from a recognized school or possess equivalent skills.
- List of accepted professional studies diplomas (DEP):

- Carpentry/Joinery
- Fixed Machine Mechanics
- Building Painting
- Plumbing and Heating
- Refrigeration
- Cabinetmaking
- Industrial Mechanics for Construction and Maintenance
- Electricity
- Electromechanics of Automated Systems
- Machinist

**Experience Requirements**:

- At least three (3) years of experience in the construction and/or maintenance field in a commercial, institutional, industrial, governmental, or municipal sector.
- Experience in carpentry is an asset.

**Other Requirements**:

- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- Bilingualism
