Solar Sales Team Leader

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join our company as a Solar Sales Team Leader. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and leading a sales team focused on promoting and selling solar products and services. As the team leader, you will play a crucial role in developing strategies, driving sales, and achieving revenue targets. This is a commission-based position, offering unlimited earning potential for successful sales performance.
**Responsibilities**:
1. Establish and lead a high-performing solar sales team, recruiting and training team members to ensure a knowledgeable and motivated sales force.
2. Develop and implement strategic sales plans and initiatives to expand market share, maximize revenue, and achieve sales targets.
3. Collaborate with the marketing department to create effective lead generation campaigns and sales materials that support the team's sales efforts.
4. Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and guidance to the sales team, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
5. Conduct regular performance evaluations, set sales targets, and track individual and team progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing necessary improvements.
6. Stay up to date with industry trends, solar technology advancements, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and position the team for success.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as homeowners, businesses, contractors, and industry partners, to drive sales and generate referrals.
8. Manage the sales process from lead qualification to deal closure, ensuring efficient and timely execution at each stage.
9. Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasting future sales trends, and providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
10. Maintain a deep understanding of solar products, services, pricing, and financing options to effectively communicate value propositions and address customer inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in solar sales or a similar role, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience in managing and motivating sales teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and negotiate effectively.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies and initiatives.
- In-depth knowledge of the solar industry, including solar energy systems, installation processes and financing options.
- Results oriented mindset with a drive to achieve and exceed goals.
- Highly organized with exceptional time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales tools to track leads, manage pipelines, and generate reports.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in business marketing, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
