**Job purpose/mandate**

Reporting to the Supervisor, Finance and Billing and working closely with other members of the billing, accounting, and finance teams on projects, the Revenue & Billing Analyst is responsible for completing financial analysis and other projects to support the growth and efficiency of the billing team.

The Revenue & Billing Analyst will be expected to exhibit the highest attention to detail while working on numerous routine and ad hoc projects and functions. Other valued attributes that we are seeking include a strong work ethic, capacity to work independently, and consistent performance with a sense of urgency and commitment.

**Specific duties and responsibilities**

Working with the billing team to ensure customer accounts are reconciled and billing correctly.
- Reconcile individual customer accounts monthly, investigating discrepancies;
- Review individual account receivable balances for unusual delinquency or credit balances to identify billing issues and proactively work with the collections and billing team to resolve discrepancies; and
- Use SQL reporting to analyze billing issues and trends.

Working with the billing and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of all monthly, quarterly, and annual close procedures related to revenue and accounts receivable. This includes:

- Reconciling accounts receivable and operating lease revenue for high volume, low dollar value transactions;
- Prepare continuity schedules for loans and commercial leases; and
- Preparing journal entries and supporting documentation.

Working with the Supervisor, Finance and Billing, support the company with regards to reporting and other finance and business transformation project related activities.
- Provide support for the external financial statement audit, as well as lender audits;
- Assist with acquisition related due diligence, reporting and integration activities;
- Assist with work related to our ERP systems migration; and
- Responding to ad hoc queries and performing ad hoc duties, analyses, and special projects, as necessary.

**Knowledge and skills**
- College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration;
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Experience performing account reconciliations and/or financial analysis;
- Capability to function effectively under pressure in order to meet various deadlines;
- Ability to frequently transition between working independently and supporting team initiatives;
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize;
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn;
- Excellent team player;
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and SharePoint;
- Knowledge of SQL Reporting is considered an asset;
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or other similar accounting systems is considered an asset;
- Ability to grasp new technology tools; and
- Qualified to work in Canada on a permanent basis.
