Scarborough, Canada Heritage Skills Development Full time

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with organizing team to plan the scope, format, and overall vision of events
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote events to the public, including securing sponsorships and media coverage
- Create and distribute promotional materials, event programs, and press releases to maximize visibility
- Manage all event logistics including venue setup, catering, audiovisual requirements, printed materials, signage, security, and more
- Assist with the selection of artists, performers, and vendors; coordinate entertainment and onsite activities
- Monitor event execution to ensure a smooth experience for all participants
- Collect and analyze feedback from attendees and stakeholders to evaluate success and make recommendations for future events

**Essential Skills**:

- Strong planning, organizational, and time management abilities
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with a wide range of individuals including clients, vendors, suppliers, and team members
- Proven interpersonal, negotiation, and team collaboration skills
- Creative, solution-oriented mindset with a positive and enthusiastic attitude

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in event coordination
- Outstanding communication and writing skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a proactive and energetic approach
- **Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment**:

- **Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or a person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.**:

- **Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations. International students are not eligible participants.**
