**Position**: IT Project Support Assistant

(Canada Summer Jobs)

**Hours of Work:**:35 hours per week

**Duration**: 8 weeks

**Reports to:**:Director of Information Management and Development

**Position Summary***:
Provide details which includes info on job-specific training, work evaluation and instructions/guidelines, materials. Familiarizing the student with the project life cycle and the role they will play in it; train on how to use Excel / Power Automate / Power Query for specifically reporting and data cleaning functions, provide status updates and other communication as necessary.

- Demonstrate communication skills in an appropriate manner and when necessary.

**Education***:

- Pursuing a post-secondary diploma in Technical Program or any program related to Information Services

**Qualifications***:

- Work or volunteer experience in social services in multicultural communities
- Knowledge and experience working with frail or cognitively impaired seniors
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to perform accurate filing and record keeping.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
- Good customer service manner and observation skills
- Ability to speak a second language (Cantonese, Tamil, Mandarin, or Greek) an asset

**Requirements**:
To be eligible, applicants must:

- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment. Please note that International students are not eligible to apply.
- Have a Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be entitled to work in Canada in accordance with provincial legislation and regulations.
