**Position**: Health and Safety Coordinator/Quality Control, MB & SK (Immediate Availability), Full Time, Permanent

**Summary**:
The Health and Safety Coordinator/Quality Control is responsible for a combination of a number of different tasks that touch on all aspects of health and safety. The Coordinator will be responsible for tasks assigned within the scope of Health and Safety for operations in Manitoba and Saskatchewan in coordination with Operations Managers. This role will require travel to job sites within Manitoba, and occasionally Saskatchewan, a vehicle is required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain statistics and records and monitor accident/incident frequencies and safety violations; complete investigations and related documentation
- Maintain safety training documentation
- Ensure regular submission of completed site safety inspections, H&S committee meeting minutes
- Report and manage WCB Claims
- Assist in the administration, documentation and management of the Company’s COR program
- Keep management current on the status of any issue(s) that may impact work to be performed
- Support site supervision with management of safety program
- Preparing Health & Safety modules for monthly distribution
- Complete weekly site inspections, and deliver corrective actions

**Qualifications**:

- 3 to 5 years of related experience
- Experience in COR Certification
- Certificate in OHS, or working towards one is preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Safety Audit certification is an asset
- Working knowledge of WCB claims management would be an asset
- Knowledge of safety in relation to Mines would be an asset
- Valid driver's license and a safe, reliable vehicle.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to use different forms of technology; cell phones, laptops, etc.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to speak a second language is an asset
