Warehouse Worker

**Job Description**:
**GENERAL MOTORS OF CANADA COMPANY **is a world-class automotive parts distribution network supplying General Motors dealerships and Delco distributors worldwide. The Vancouver PDC (located in Langley Twp) is currently seeking applicants to fill Warehouse Attendant positions. The facility supports the western Canadian portion of the network which spans across four provinces and two territories.

As an integral part of team, you will perform multiple hands-on tasks associated with warehousing functions in a standardized, structured environment. You will be part of one team of engaged, customer-centric employees delivering outstanding results who share in General Motors’ purpose and values.

**Location: Langley, British Columbia**

**Shifts: Day Shift**:

- 10:00am - 6:30pm**

**Hours: 40 hours weekly**

**Wage: $29.32**

**Physical Demands of the Job**:

- Walk and/or transport automotive parts via carts.
- Reach, move, push, pull, and/or lift automotive parts with both arms.
- Bend and/or twist repetitively.
- Grip and pinch with both hands and use various hand tools as well as a scanner
- Must be able to meet the physical demands required to perform the essentials of the job (i.e., lift up to 50 lbs.).
- Must be able to be trained to operate PIVs (pallet jack, walk behind, high bay, forklift, etc.)
- Must be able to use computer up to 25% of shift
- A strong safe work ethic and a can/do demeanor
- A dedication to continuous improvement and job development
- Respect for people and our policies and values
- Ability to listen to, understand and communicate instruction in English

**Additional Job Description**:

**Requirements**:

- The Temporary Position may lead to Permanent Full-Time employment with GM Canada.
- Willing and able to work day shift (10:00AM -6:30PM)
- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Fork Lift/Reach Truck experience is an asset
- Knowledge of safety awareness, quality, and compliance.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, standard operating procedures, work instructions, procedure manuals, and policies.
