**SUMMARY OF DUTIES**:
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for shipping / receiving services and general maintenance duties such as minor incidental repairs and preventive maintenance tasks. Must be able to work in a safety conscious and team oriented environment. “Safety First” expectations include, but are not limited to SOP processes, observation process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures. Must maintain a consistent and good attendance record in accordance with company policy
**SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Regular and ongoing communication with the chair of Culinary Programs and Operations to ensure College safety and hygiene standards are implemented in receiving and garbage areas
- Regular and ongoing communication with the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts Purchaser to ensure schedule of deliveries is coordinated and all goods received and handled according to health and safety standards
- Review incoming deliveries against vendor invoices and sign-off to verify quality and accuracy in collaboration with Purchaser and in accordance with College policy as determined by the Chair
- Oversee all aspects of shipping / receiving including delivery of parcels and maintaining / updating a logbook for all property deliveries
- Assist with garbage, recycling and organic materials removal from site
- Proactively replace burnt out light bulbs as required
- Assist with various preventive maintenance duties such as replacing filters for HVAC units, adjusting thermostat settings, cleaning of mechanical, garbage and recycling rooms and loading dock areas.
- Relocate and move furniture and assist with display set-ups as required
- Conduct regular safety and property inspections and report any noted deficiencies to the Operations Supervisor
- Respond to and complete in an acceptable timeframe all customer requests from the Corrigo work order system including closing the work orders and maintaining required database
- Maintains and updates a detailed log of maintenance and repair activities
- Work collaboratively with multiple departments/3rd party contractors
- Ensures compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains effective ongoing customer relations
- Assists the Operations Supervisor as required
**ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS** **/ DUTIES**:
- Communicates with department and customer on any discrepancies noted in subcontractor service delivery
- Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals
- Perform assigned tasks in a safe, effective, and efficient manner with a quality of service according to standards
- Ability to work outside of core business hours when required
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
