Compass is seeking Assistant Service Manager.
**What You Will Do**
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Answer all incoming service calls and schedule manpower and arranging materials for effective management of job scopes
- Generate work orders and gather clear scope of work directions / instructions for technicians.
- Guide and develop technicians, assist in dispute resolution
- Track and schedule service technicians to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness
- Oversee and ensure the transportation program is administered as per all federal Transportation Hours of Service requirements
- Gather, reconcile information related to and approve all service timesheets
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing information is provided for sign off by the Regional Service Manager
- Maintain customer loyalty by effectively and efficiently managing customer interactions and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Lead, foster and support safety in all aspects of the daily business in conjunction with the Safety Advisor
- Train, mentor, coach and supervise all service department personnel
- Have a strong ability for problem solving in a decision-making capacity
- Be available for afterhours service on call scheduling support
- Be an active participant in all HR related activities within the group
- OEM warranty administration
**What You Bring**
Your education and experience include:
- Experienced in a Management role with a Gas Compression Field Service background is desirable
- Understanding of basic accounting procedures and warranty administration
- Computer skills including ERP, Microsoft Office, and Navision
- Interpersonal skills including human resources, collaboration with other business units, managing change, negotiation skills, customer service skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be organized and able to manage multiple priorities and interruptions
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Familiar with Safety programs and requirements
