**Job description**

Operations Manager

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years experience in the transportation sector in operations
- Logistics experience - negotiating rates with service partners with our customer’s needs in mind
- Forklift experience - warehouse work as well as managing the warehouse are part of the position
- Safety and compliance experience - Hours of Service (Canada and US), Driver Qualified Files, truck maintenance, dispatch experience
- Strong organization skills
- Strong knowledge of Canada and US geography
- Highly proficient in MS Office including word, excel and outlook
- Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs
- Delegate necessary authority as a lead to create optimum working conditions
- Represent the organization or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions
- Capable of managing the company in the absence of the owners
