Child Care Relief Educator

Edmonton Region Child Care Association is looking for relief on call educators for our Out of School care programs in Southwest Edmonton - Garth Worthington School and Joey Moss School.
Various Shifts, including 7-10am, and 3-6pm
This position requires a valid child care certification, clear police information check and valid first aid and CPR certificate.
Position Expectations:
PROGRAM DELIVERY
a. Work with child care team in implementing OSC programming.
b. Create a program which is reflective of the values and goals of the Flight Framework.
c. Communicate with families regarding program activities and expectations.
d. Communicate all pertinent information to other educators regarding program needs or requirements.
2. WORKING WITH CHILDREN
a. Closely supervise children at all times.
b. Maintain child/educator ratios at all time
c. Create and maintain positive relationships with children and their families.
d. Encourage children to foster independence and to be responsible for themselves and their actions.
e. Model appropriate behaviours.
f. Guide children’s behaviour according to the Behaviour Guidance Policy.
QUALIFICATIONS
a. Child Care Certification, issued by the Government of Alberta
b. Valid First Aid Certificate
c. Clear Police Information Check - issued in the last 6 months
d. Experience in Out of School Care program an asset
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $15.55-$18.10 per hour
