This position requires an individual that provides a safe operating environment by planning installation, maintenance and repair of machines, tools, equipment, utility systems, facility, etc. This position will work with the Maintenance Management in developing, implementing and recording the scheduled maintenance programs, preventive maintenance plan, forms, procedures, maintenance personnel training sessions and processes. The Maintenance Planner ensures that all safety, quality, good manufacturing practice, and company procedures and policies are followed in relation to performing duties, as well as the production environment is fast paced and satisfyingly productive.

This position requires regular, sometimes sustained, standing, walking, sitting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and climbing stairs. The production environment will have exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. This position also requires the use of various tools, measurements devices, meter, computer, etc.

**Essential Functions**
- Plan work in consultation with the Management, to develop work instructions, man power and job material requirement list, identify tool and equipment required and prepare maintenance work orders, forms and detailed instructions.
- Plan and keep records of the repairs and servicing for various building and equipment by outside contractors
- Determine and provide the technical documentation and training that will support the technicians in the execution of work orders, including drawings and/or photocopies of vendor-specified work procedures
- Participate in budgetary preparation, tracking, and analysis
- Manage maintenance data collection and information gathering to more effectively provide insight into service intervals and risk level assignment
- Catalog data regarding feedback from work orders to provide insight into time allocation for tasks, re-evaluation of maintenance feasibility for certain equipment and component pairing.
- Maintain Maintenance-related SQF documentation
- Assist Maintenance Storekeeper in recording, kitting, and staging of job material requirement
- Coordinate with Production Planner on scheduling lines down to perform maintenance activities.
- Responsible for all repetitive (daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, etc.) maintenance scheduling, planning and recording.
- Identify areas of improvement and make recommendations to the Maintenance Manager.

**Job Specifications**
- A safety-oriented, preventive maintenance work ethic
- 5 years' experience in a maintenance planning capacity
- A post-secondary qualification as a millwright, mechanic, electrician, controls technician or equivalent.
- Excellent planning and estimating skills
- High accuracy, attention to detail, high level of organization and mathematical computation skills
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, work procedures, equipment manuals
- Ability to prepare easily-understood work orders
- Ability to comprehend, speak, read, and write English
- Ability to communicate with all employee levels
- Ability to work overtime, weekends as required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. (25kg)
- Proficient user in MS Office Suite, Fresh ERP, CMMS, Business Vision, Google Apps, etc.
