**Responsibilities**:

- Travel from client to client or to client’s facility to provide care as needed.
- Provide companionship.
- Provide personal care such as bathing, showering, shampoo, dressing.
- Assisting client to the bathroom and assistance using commode or bed pan.
- Provide assistance in activities of daily living including assisting clients with basic hygiene, mobility and nutritional intake.
- Assist with transportation to doctors appointments, grocery and other errands as required.
- Provide basic housekeeping duties.
- Provide caregiver caregiver/family respite.
- Promote client’s wellness and independence.

Qualification:

- HCA, HSW, CHW certificate or PSW student completing placement hours.
- Grade 12 completion

**Experience**:

- Prefer at least one year experience in care giving in any setting including hospital, nursing home, assisted living and home health.
- Experience with completing Activities of Daily living such as bathing, showering, dressing, cooking, toilet assistance.

Work Performance Qualification:

- Timely and reliable
- Dependent, compassionate, client centric, integrity, empathetic.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver licence preferred
- Ability to pass a Criminal Background check upon hire.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, ability to make self understood effectively in face-to-face conversations, articulate accurately in communicating using phone.
- Excellent computer software skills are preferred
- Ability to work effectively under mínimal supervision and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to perform duties of this position.

- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
