**We Are Hiring Social Workers**

**Salary**: $50,010 - $66,679 annually

Hospice Niagara is hiring two (2) permanent full-time, Social Workers to join our Community and Residence teams to provide counselling support for the psychological, emotional and spiritual well-being of people who have been diagnosed with a progressive life limiting illness, their partners and families from the time of diagnosis, through end of life and in bereavement.

Our Counsellors provide a wide range of interventions including individual, couple and family counselling/support, advocacy, education, access to community supports, and spiritual companioning.

These positions generally work Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm, start at 3 weeks paid vacation and are eligible to participate in group benefit and RRSP matching plans (after waiting period). One (1) position is available in our 10-suite hospice residence and one (1) position is available on our palliative community outreach team.
- Master’s Degree (preferred) in Social Work and current OCSWSSW registration
- Training and experience specializing in mental health (preferred)
- 2 years of related experience in health care settings
- Expert knowledge in hospice palliative care, end-of-life care, and oncology
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check (favourable, within past 12 months)
- Fundamentals of Palliative Care (must complete within 12 months of hire)
- Bilingual in French and English (preferred)
