Commercial Electrical Estimator

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team. You should be able commute to Humboldt, SK. We are looking to hire an electrical estimator to determine the approximate costs of various electrical installations for commercial and residential projects. This position works closely with and reports to the general manager and will play an integral role in providing accurate and timely estimates.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications.
- Determining the amount of labour required to complete each project.
- Determining the potential profitability of electrical projects to assist management in making sound bidding decisions.
- Providing viable solutions to increase project probability.
- Completing and submitting competitive project bids in accordance with established guidelines.
- Submit bids to tenders.
- Establish, maintain, and build effective, long-lasting relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, engineers, and contractors in the industry.
- Keep in communication with all relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare and review compliant budget and tender documents.
- Reviewing supplier costs in order to determine how much each individual element costs, and negotiating with supplies in order to bargain the best prices.
- Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in residential and/or commercial electrical estimating. We are willing to train if you have electrical background experience.
- Any certificates are an asset.
- Hold a valid Saskatchewan or Inter-provincial Journeyperson electrician ticket
- Must have a valid class 5 drivers’ license and the ability to maintain a clear abstract
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
