**Summary**
GT Mann Contracting is looking for carpenters to build of award-winning homes and multifamily construction projects. You have an uncompromising eye for details and appreciate beautiful and artistic structures as you construct architectural concrete walls, install blocking and backing, drop ceilings, fences, landscaping structures, doors and hardware, windows and more.

We are hiring a range of carpenters from first-year apprentices through to more experienced ticketed carpenters.

**Key Qualifications**
- Registered Apprentice (ITAC), Red Seal Endorsed, or T.Q. qualified
- 4 years of experience in commercial or residential construction or renovations.
- Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications
- Working knowledge of WorkSafe BC regulations, Safe work and Safe Job procedures.

**Experience**
- Fall protection training preferred.
- Working knowledge of WHIMIS 2015 and SDS sheets.
- Working knowledge of fall protection procedures and process.
- OFA training levels 1,2 or 3 are assets
- CTS-09 or Construction safety are assets

**Skills**
- Framing, concrete forming, layout, door and window installations experience
- Capable of receiving and following verbal or written instructions and communicating with co-workers
- Able to identify unsafe working conditions and correct them.
- Able to work unsupervised for 4 or more hours.
- Computer or smart phone literate.
- Trades math and ability to take off volumes, areas and lineal measurements accurately.

**Other**
- Ability to lift up minimum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Climb stairs, ladders and work safely at heights
- Ability to work in all weather.
- Able to get to various sites in the greater Victoria area by 7:30 am or earlier.
- Possess all hand tools and carpenter’s belt (power tools are provided by GT Mann)
- Act in a professional manner when interacting with Clients and stake holders.

**Salary**: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
