**BILLING & COLLECTIONS CLERK**
We are currently looking for a Billing & Collections Clerk to join our Accounting team.
New grads are encouraged to apply
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Regular follow-up on overdue accounts
- Maintain client collections update reports
- Monthly meetings with lawyers to review A/R
- Post daily firm receipts
- Post accounts and reversals as required
- Prepare and send monthly client statements
- Assist Legal Assistants with E-billing
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications Required**:
- Successful completion of a University or College Accounting program
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in professional services or a combination of education and work experience is acceptable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Experience working with legal accounting software is an asset
- Experience working with a document management system, e.g., iManage, is an asset
- Possess well-developed organizational and time management skills in order to manage multiple priorities with ease in order to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, to help build relationships and provide excellent client service
- A confident self-starter, who can work well both independently and in a team environment
- Operate with a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Show good judgment and respond well to constructive feedback.
