Spectrum Health Care is hiring a full time **Billing and Payroll Clerk **to join our corporate team in **Toronto**. The **Billing and Payroll Clerk** is responsible for the verification and reconciliation of patient services provided by field employees in order to ensure the accuracy of billing and payroll.

**Job Description**:

- Prepare field employee payroll file, calculate overtime and stat holiday pay per legislative rules and/or company policies, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time adhering to strict bi-weekly payroll deadlines
- Prepare billing files for submission to Home and Community Care Support Services, manage billing reconciliation and ensure all services provided are paid and any required adjustments are processed in a timely manner
- Liaise with HCCSS and resolve billing rejections and suspensions adhering to strict initial billing and resubmission deadlines
- Resolve billing queries and questions from clients and funders, review aged trial balance reports and follow-up on overdue accounts and collections as required
- Participate in continuous billing and payroll process improvements, identifying areas of risk and opportunity within the organization and create recommendations for procedural efficiency
- Additional duties include filing, data entry, assisting in month-end and annual audit, preparation of ad hoc reports

**Qualifications**:

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Post-secondary accounting courses preferred or equivalent working experience
- Attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills
- Adept in using a Customer Relationship Management System (CRM)
- Typing speed of 60 wpm is an asset
- Mandatory COVID 19 Vaccine
