Bruce Street Animal Hospital is a small animal clinic in Kitchener, ON N2B 1Y4.

We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist/Assisstant to join our team

**Job Summary**

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Greeting clients, answering the phone, and taking messages
- Scheduling appointments
- Check-in clients, answer client questions, and direct inquiries to the appropriate person
- Maintain reception area by cleaning, stocking, and rotating out the trash
- General office support including data entry, filing, and other clerical duties as needed
- Maintain a clean work environment by keeping office desk tidy and organized
- Accurately complete patient intake forms for client visits; provide information regarding medical history and/or treatment history to ensure appropriate vaccinations are administered as requested.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure the highest possible quality of care provided to our clients
- Assist veterinarians with examinations and treatments of animals
- Animal handling skills and knowledge required
- Communications skills with clients and staff
- Other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to adapt to a diverse work environment
- Must be able to work under pressure and under stress

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $15.50-$20.41 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kitchener, ON N2B 1Y4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
