As Cultural Knowledge Keeper at Ravensview, you will be an integral part of a collaborative, culturally-competent, interdisciplinary team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Provide patients with cultural support with singing, drumming, art, daily prayers, storytelling and gatherings
- Design resources, workshops, special events and conduct activities for patients and staff, incorporating Indigenous knowledge, practices and ceremonies
- Deliver one-on-one sessions, as requested by the patient, focused on supporting learning about culture, ancestors, spirituality and connection to the land
- Document patient sessions in Caseworks, our electronic medical record system
- Ensure cultural practices, programs and service delivery support patients' mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being and are designed from an Indigenous perspective consistent with harm reduction philosophies and practices
- Prepare reports, planning and communications related to programming and specialized events
- Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with the broader Ravensview team regarding individual client care

**What we’re looking for**:

- Degree or Diploma in Social work, Indigenous studies, NNADAP or Health Related Fields
- Strong understanding of Indigenous culture, community groups and agencies and current issues affecting Indigenous communities
- Experience managing the delivery of Indigenous programs and services as well as working with Mental Health and Addiction, philosophies and principles using an Indigenous lens
- Strong knowledge and connection to Indigenous knowledge systems, nations and communities; specific focus on Coast Salish protocols and culture would be an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of local Indigenous traditions, ceremonies, teachings and practices as well as the social determinants of health in an Indigenous context
- Strong community, program development and implementation experience
- Capacity to engage people of diverse communities
- Strong presentation, facilitation and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills
- Homewood Health promotes a fair and competitive compensation model. Pay rates are tailored to reflect differences in operating environments and job requirements. Compensation is influenced by many factors including compensation principles or approach for a role or job function, organizational tenure, experience, qualifications or premium skills, external competitiveness, internal comparability, geography and work performance. Pay range for this position is $35.50 - $38.50._
