**ABOUT US**

Apex Truck & Trailer Inc. started with a mechanic, his truck, and a vision. We are a smaller, independently owned truck and trailer repair shop in Waterloo working on all makes/models of trucks, trailers, and equipment. We have all necessary shop tools and software, and Techs have their own iPad to track their work. We perform general repairs, preventative maintenance, and electronic engine/exhaust after treatment systems diagnostics and repairs including engine overhauls and transmission rebuilding. The learning here is endless, and we are extremely proud to service our diverse customer base.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Customer Relations**
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist in preparing and explaining detailed estimates for repairs and ensure transparent communication with customers regarding costs and timelines
- Communicate advice and recommendations on truck and trailer maintenance and repairs
- Proactively communicate with customers about maintenance schedules and service updates
- Uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction at every step.

**Shop Communication**
- Listen to customers’ concerns and accurately document service requests
- Coordinate with our skilled technicians to schedule and prioritize service appointments
- Collaborate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of required components for repairs.
- Manage completion of work orders

**Administrative**
- Assist with office duties as required, including completing monetary transactions

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Previous experience in a similar role within the trucking industry is preferred (2-5 years)
- Strong knowledge of trucks, trailers, and related repair processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Extremely detail-oriented and proficient in maintaining accurate records
- Outstanding ability to work under pressure (time management) and meet tight deadlines
- Exceptional organization, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Familiarity with computer systems and willingness to learn new software systems
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to evolving industry practices

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
