Looking to join a team that shares your passion for early childhood development? Kepler Academy is seeking a talented and experienced Centre Director Support to work collaboratively with our exceptional team of educators, support staff, and Centre Directors.
In this unique and one-of-a-kind role, you will work under the direction of our Director of Operations to ensure that each licensed centre operates in compliance with provincial governing authorities while delivering an exceptional childcare experience for Kepler Academy families.
You will support the Centre Directors in achieving optimized profit centre results, building strong relationships with families and educators, and developing the skills of our educators at the centre level.
If you have a solid background in business management, including budgeting, accounting, and leadership, combined with at least three years of experience in early childhood education and a Child Development Supervisor Certificate or equivalent education, we want to hear from you.
As an excellent communicator with exceptional organizational and time management skills, you will be able to lead, coach and develop a department and department staff members, promote a positive workforce environment, and ensure that company policies are adhered to.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, DCW, Nutshell, Dayforce, and Licensing, Critical Incidents, Incident/Accident Reporting, Programming forms, Quality Assurance, Checklists, Training modules, and Maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities and Duties
Business Management
- Support the Centre Director in managing the overall operations of the centre.
- Maintain labour budgets as set by Kepler Academy and create efficient schedules to optimize the centre's effectiveness.
- Support the Centre Director in developing positive relationships with staff and families.
- Develop relationships with families and act as a communication liaison when the director is unavailable.
- Support the Centre Director in conducting meetings with families and employees.
- Support the Centre Director with progressive performance management, following up as needed.
- Assist families with inquiries related to inclusive childcare or FSCD supports.
- Ensure that financial reports, quality assurance reports, and surveys are reviewed and acted upon for positive outcomes.
- Work with the Centre Director to ensure that quality assurance reports are up-to-date and compliant with licensing, health, and fire regulations.
- Support the Centre Director in addressing actionable items based on client and educator feedback.
- Assist the Centre Director with lead management, enrollment conversions, and reducing attribution by focusing on customer relations.
- Support the Centre Director in scheduling play and stay/enrollment meetings to ensure a smooth transition for new families.
- Develop and monitor initiatives to maintain consistency and excellence in service across all centres.
- Maintain expenses according to the allocated budget.
- Support the Centre Director in managing the centre's budget and controlled expenses.
Leadership
- Develop positive working relationships with all Centre Directors and staff at the centres.
- Educate and support Centre Directors to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide Centre Directors with support for customer relations.
- Support the Centre Director in managing Human Resources, including hiring, terminations, performance plans, evaluations, and action plans to promote success and improvement.
- Ensure consistency in brand identity and identify new opportunities to shape the direction of ELCC initiatives.
- Support the Centre Director in coordinating training initiatives with new educators.
- Demonstrate proficient knowledge in ELCC developmentally appropriate practices and expectations.
Communications
- Respond to families and governing authorities in a professional manner.
- Lead initiatives to maintain positive relationships and regular communication with clients and facilitate mediation and resolution.
- Communicate key messages and decisions made by senior management to Centre Directors and staff.
- Attend all leadership meetings and ensure the delivery of all initiatives at the centre level.
**Qualifications**
- Hold a Child Development Supervisor Certificate, which may be attained through completion of a two-year diploma program in Early Childhood Development, or an equivalent education from a college that meets Child Care Regulations.
- Have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the early childhood field, preferably in the childcare industry.
