Instrumentation Technician

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Install, maintain, test, design, troubleshoot and repair:

- Electrical equipment (AC Drives, power controls circuits, starters, MCCs)
- Microprocessor based systems (PLCs, DCS, Electronic circuits, controls)
- Low, medium and high voltage distribution systems (single and three phase systems)
- Instrumentation (pneumatic controls, PID, transducers, servos, analog/digital signals)
- Power distribution and generation (generators, transformers, switchgears, breakers)
- Communication and Data Systems (closed circuit TV, timekeeping, phone/computer)
- HVAC, emergency systems (boilers, refrigeration, air compressors, energy control, alarm)
- Conduct Planned Preventive and Predictive Maintenance and keep maintenance records
- Recommend and implement corrective action and required repairs
- Assist in planning, and organization of work activities (drawing interpretation, parts preparation)

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a highly automated industrial manufacturing environment
- Strong electrical, instrumentation, automation, pneumatics experience required
- Strong decision making, problem solving troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and effectively meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and in a multifunctional team with minimum supervision
- Experience underground would be an asset.
- Ability to travel when needed on occasion.
- Environmental work conditions can range from a cool environment, to one that is hot and wet.
- Will be required to work outdoors in all seasons

**Note: This job will require some travel.**
