**About the Role**
Are you looking to take the next step in your construction career with a company that values learning, mentorship, and growth? **Ira McDonald Construction** is seeking a **Junior Project Manager** to support the delivery of large-scale institutional, commercial, and industrial projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals on **high-impact projects** across Hamilton and surrounding areas.
At IMC, we believe strong projects are built by strong teams. As a Junior Project Manager, you'll play a key supporting role in planning, coordination, and execution, gaining valuable experience while contributing to meaningful work.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in overseeing project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
- Help track project progress, identify risks or delays, and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
- Support the preparation of billings, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and meeting minutes.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure project requirements are met.
- Attend project meetings and assist in maintaining clear and accurate communication with all stakeholders.
- Ensure project documentation and compliance align with drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
- Participate in tendering and procurement processes alongside the estimating team.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications & Requirements**
- Post Secondary education in architectural technology, engineering or equivalent
- 5+ Years Project Coordinator/Assistant Project Manager experience, in the ICI sector
- Good knowledge of construction scopes and activities, scheduling and project management software.
- Familiarity with construction project lifecycles and basic understanding of ICI sectors.
- Have a good understanding of construction contracts, in particular CCDC documents.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Enthusiasm to learn, take initiative, and grow in a supportive team environment.
- Experienced with construction software - Procore and Bluebeam.
- Willingness to work from our **Hamilton office** and visit project sites as required.
