**CNC Machinist - 5 Axis**

**Location: St. Catharines, ON**

**Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent**

**Job Summary**:
We're seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team in St. Catharines. As a skilled machinist, you'll operate and set up 5-axis milling machines, working on complex parts for industries such as Defense, Nuclear, Automotive, Aerospace, Mining, and Semiconductor. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production and efficient operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set up and operate 5-axis milling machines (Heidenhain control system)
- Utilize Autodesk PowerMill for programming and optimizing machining processes
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and setup instructions
- Work with a variety of cutting tools and precision measurement equipment
- Inspect parts using CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) and other precision measurement tools
- Maintain quality control and troubleshoot any inconsistencies
- Optimize machining processes for efficiency and quality
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and quality standards

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a CNC machinist, preferably in a senior role with 5-axis machining expertise
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining principles, practices, and safety protocols
- Experience working with Heidenhain control systems or similar equipment
- Proficiency in Autodesk PowerMill programming
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CNC code
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control
