**Human Resources Intern**

**The Job**:
We are looking for an HR intern to work closely with the senior Director Human Resources, Business Partners and HR analyst and provides confidential coordination and project support across multiple client groups. The core activities include creating and reviewing reports, preparing communication and presentations, coordinating benefits activities, and special projects and creating and building rapport with client groups and provides general assistance on issues.

**Key Areas of Responsibility**:

- Provides support with administrative tasks for Human Resources Team
- Varied aspects of human resources including Employee relations and engagement, HR data analytics, HR communications, Health & Safety Inspections, and others
- Support Company’s wellness initiatives, including Employee Social Committee, Well-being updates, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion activities
- Routinely conducts research on HR Trends, and changes to legislation and updating team
- Lead the updating of the People & Organization intraweb page, including events
- Updating Yammer posts for the HR Team
- Track contract end dates, oversee anniversary programs and recognition systems.
- Maintain HR Personnel files ensuring that documents are correctly filed.
- Input benefits for new employees in system and maintain updates including address change, beneficiary updates, etc. for employees.
- Ensures that employee benefit issues/inquiries are resolved promptly and efficiently.
- Assist with onboarding of employees and scheduling of new employees
- Update HR policies and procedures under direction of HR Business Partner. Ensure policies are up to date and in compliance as required.
- Manages key processes for client areas (360 administration, exit interview Resignations) Also, works with outside vendors and coordinates training/workshops, meetings, and events
- Works on special projects as requested for Sr. Director of HR.
- Ensures a clear understanding of project/work objectives and a high degree of accuracy and independence.
- Support with ad-hoc tasks

**Goals**:

- Administer Key Human Resources Programs
- Coordinate & Track HR activities
- Understand HRIS

**Education (Minimum Requirements)**:

- Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in a related area including Business Management, Human Resources etc.
- CHRP an asset

**Experience (Minimum Requirements)**:

- Overall understanding of corporate Human Resources
- Strong work ethics
- Ability to understand the sense of urgency of a task, but remain calm under pressure
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Superb communication skills
- Excellent customer skills and follow ups
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset

**Working Conditions**:

- Works in an open-office environment with exposure to multiple demands, deadlines, and interruptions.
- Little exposure to hazards while performing the duties of the job
