About the Role

Responsible for the full scope of Human Resources. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead all HR functions and collaborate closely with department managers to develop and implement HR strategies that support our company's long-term goals and objectives.
- Talent Acquisition: Lead recruitment efforts, including identifying talent needs, conducting interviews, and ensuring a seamless onboarding process for new hires
- Performance Management: Establish and oversee performance management systems, including evaluations and KPI measurements
- Employee Relations: Proactively address employee concerns and maintain a positive and productive work environment, while handling disciplinary matters when necessary
- Compensation and Benefits: Manage benefits programs and access other options
- Training and Development: Collaborate with managers to determine training needs and coordinate employee development programs to enhance skills and knowledge across our company
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and company policies via Peninsula program
- Safety and Wellness: Promote a culture of workplace safety and employee well-being
- Conflict Resolution: Act as a mediator and facilitator in resolving conflicts and disputes within the organization
- Administrative Organization: Update and manage policies, procedures, employee manual, vacation calendar, physical and electronic files

**Requirements**:

- Minimum completion of a degree in Human Resources Management or a related field and preference for those working towards CHRP designation
- Minimum of 5 years HR management experience in food processing or manufacturing environment
- Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
- Skilled at building and developing relationships with all levels of staff from plant to senior management
- Attention to detail and good judgement
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), organizational and time-management skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong multitasking skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint
