We are currently seeking a Operations Advisor (FWC) to join our team.

The First West Capital Operations Advisor provides day-to-day advisory, service, administrative and marketing support for the First West Capital line of business as well as its clients. Understanding the unique environment of FWC, the position applies the principles of service excellence with a focus on risk mitigation and is a key contributor to the operational needs of the department.

**Here’s what would be included as a part of your typical day**
- **Reporting, Risk Mitigation and Portfolio Management**:Prepares, manages, and distributes portfolio level documents and reports as needed by internal stakeholders within established timeframes and monitors the completion of portfolio review details. Facilitates between FWC and other internal stakeholders to manage overall portfolio activities, mitigate risk, and to ensure that transactions follow the appropriate guidelines, processes, and procedures.
- **Operational and Administrative Support**:Works closely with and provides ongoing operational and administrative support to the VP, FWC and provides quality service to the FWC Associate and Origination team. Also provides ongoing advisory service and support to FWC clients and other stakeholders. Assists in other operational, HR, marketing and administrative priorities and works with internal departments and external vendors as required. Looks for opportunities to automate and improve processes and procedures.
- **Training**:Facilitates identification of process improvements and system enhancements to the Credit Application and Loan Monitoring processes. Works independently with outside vendors as appropriate to create, test and implement system changes; provides training and resources to FW Capital team.
- **Projects**:Provides ongoing management of systems, including but not limited to data integrity, quality assurance, financial data input, calculations, trend analysis and reporting. Supports clients with system maintenance, provides the appropriate training to ensure accounts are operating properly, and provides follow up to clients.

**Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications**
- Minimum of 2 years of post-secondary business-related courses required
- 5 years in the financial services industry preferably in a loans administration and portfolio management role required
- SharePoint experience preferred
- Banking systems administration experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, adept at building long-term relationships with stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Well organized, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a changing and dynamic environment
- Knowledge of lending documentation/terminology
- Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Understanding of lean terminology and processes
- Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
