Location: North America, Canada, Stoney Creek- Ref: JOHNCRANENA01630- Division: John Crane- Job Function: Operations**Job Description**:
The Mechanical Assembler will assemble, visually inspect, test and package seals, couplings or sub-assemblies. They will work at any station, assembly machines, test benches, and pressure test benches. The Mechanical Assembler will cover disassembly and receiving/shipping duties as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities
- May run skin packaging or film packaging equipment as necessary.
- Maintains accurate inventory counts on packing lists and inventory warehouse records.
- Receives and issues materials from inventory.
- Makes inventory reports for supervisor when required.
- Works from specifications, assembly drawings, shipping orders standard or verbal instructions.
- Responsible for quality or work produced.
- Makes proper job and time reports for timekeeping as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned utilizing normal skill and ability of the current position.
- Remains aware and follows all health and safety practices.
- Works in a safe fashion and reports any concerns to supervisor.

The Individual
- High school diploma
- 3-5 years of related experience is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret average assembly and machine drawings.
- Resolve and trouble shoot technical problems.
- Requires ability to understand and solve technical problems of above average nature.
- Must have the knowledge to successfully set up and test complicated cartridge seals on their own.
