Rexel Atlantic operates out of 14 branches in the Atlantic across all four provinces.
The **Automation & Control Manager** is accountable for managing the Rexel Atlantic region’s sales of automation & related products and will help management establish and achieve budgetary goals. The Automation & Control Manager will be in direct contact with senior management, sales reps, suppliers and customers and will be involved in the Industrial Sales Representatives’ activities related to the sales of automation products.
**Responsibilities**
- Leadership and management of the Rexel Atlantic Automation team, ensuring the right talent is developed and grown
- Work closely and in collaboration with the Nedco Quebec automation team
- Work closely with our in house industrial Panel Shop - Litetec
- Accountable for the development and execution of the annual Automation commercial plan for all tech segments and delivery of annual sales and growth targets for the assigned region
- Develop and strengthen supplier (mainly Schneider) partnerships through relationship building, collaboration, effective and open communication, feedback, celebration of successes, and identification and addressing risks, challenges, and issues together proactively
- Engage key customers and suppliers to discuss market trends, future business opportunities, resolve concerns and increase customer awareness.
- Investigate and promote business development opportunities by offering automation solutions.
- Actively collaborate with the regional automation managers, the sales team, and account managers to secure strategic business, drive continuous growth, and share best practices, as well as the inside sales Industrial Projects team to support quoting, project execution, and documentation, as required
- Analyze areas for improvement and implement action plans accordingly.
- Keep abreast of the industry to identify key competitors, customer contacts, and target accounts
- Provide and/or facilitate training for the Division.
**Who Are You**
- A bachelor’s degree (Sales or Marketing major) or equivalent; CET designation a definite asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of solid sales management within an Automation environment and a thorough understanding of how to promote and sell automation solutions.
- Experience in successfully leading, motivating, and coaching a team of direct reports
- Proven track record of successfully growing market share.
- Ability to build strategic partnerships, identify potential sales and develop those accounts
- Strong communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
- Experience in Industrial Automation products and solutions and/or VFDs, PLCs, MCCs, Industrial Controls, Safety, and/or Software would be an asset
- Position based out of the Atlantic
- Travel as required.
