Hose Assembler

Parker Canada is hiring **Permanent Full-Time Production Hose Assembler** **Associates **in our Hose Assembly department at **our Milton location.**

**Basic Function/Essential Duties**:

- Reading and understanding of Work Orders
- Understanding and conformance to hose assembly quality requirements.
- Understanding and knowledge of ISO procedures as they pertain to Hose Assembly
- Manual lifting up to 35lbs, use of cranes and other lift assist devices for heavy materials
- Ability to operate all hose assembly equipment for all types of products, including saws, depth mark, inserters, and crimpers
- Use and understanding of all measuring tools such as: tape measures, scales, digital protractors, dial calipers, micrometer thimbles, or any other measuring device which may be utilized to inspect hose assemblies.
- Inspection of hose assembly quality at all stages of assembly.
- Capping, tagging of hose assemblies for shipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Abiding by company and/or regulatory policies, procedures, and regulations as it pertains to the job i.e., Employee Handbook, Health & Safety Policy, WHMIS, Code of Ethics, etc.

**Quality Assurance Responsibilities**:

- Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity’s relating to the product, process and quality systems
- Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality systems
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels
- Verify the implementation of solutions
- Control further processing, delivery, or installations of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of high school diploma or post-secondary education
- Previous experience in a similar role would be an asset
- Computer literate - able to operate programs such as label software and mainframe system
- Ability to lift up to 10-35 pounds consistently
- Knowledge of hose fittings and assembly procedures would be an asset
- Knowledge of ISO procedures, Lean, 5S + S
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated (ability to work independently or group environment)
- Team Player

**Salary**: From $21.00 per hour

Schedule:
