Description
You are a safety-conscious Loader Operator with previous Highway Construction experience. You will be running 844 John Deere or equivalent Loaders alongside our Highway Construction team on various projects throughout Alberta. You are a team player who ensures the well-being of others and lends a hand where needed.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Operate various sized loaders safely and efficiently on Highway Construction projects
- Communicate with other operators and crew members in work area
- Load trucks and feed asphalt plant
- Comply with and uphold Ledcor’s Health & Safety programs
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating a loader in a paving/highway construction setting
- Successful completion of drug and alcohol testing is mandatory
- A valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract are required
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices in daily work activities
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Mechanical aptitude is a strong asset
Work Conditions:
- This is a field-based position from May to November 2025
- Flexibility to work on projects throughout Alberta is required
- Shift rotations involve 10-14-hour workdays, including nights and overtime
- A living-out allowance of $140 per day is provided
