We are looking for a dynamic Risk Analyst to join our Fraud Prevention team. The Risk Analyst is focused on transactional data analysis and account intervention, to protect our business and customer base against various forms of fraudulent activity. We are seeking a highly motivated individual, passionate about fraud defence, and dedicated to career development and personal growth within a fast-paced collaborative environment. **What your day-to-day life at MavTek look like**:

- Engaging in detailed transaction analysis and risk mitigation activities.
- Corresponding with end-users to verify transactions and validate accounts.
- Working with other internal teams to identify risks and prevent chargebacks.
- Disputing chargebacks and issuing refunds through various portals.
- Collaborating with team members and leaders to deliver ongoing process improvements.
- Minimizing financial loss and chargebacks through aggressive prevention and mitigation techniques.
- Analyzing risk rules and alerts to recommend improvements to internal and external monitoring systems.
- Reviewing website accounts that may contain sensitive content.
- Performing other critical job functions as assigned.

**Enough about us, we want to know more about you**:

- At least one year of experience in risk management, fraud prevention, credit underwriting, dispute resolution, or collections.
- Previous experience in a high-volume ecommerce environment is an asset.
- In-depth understanding of Card-Not-Present transaction flow.
- Comfortable with large sets of data; leveraging analytical tools and methodologies with ease.
- Demonstrate advanced ability to perform day-to-day fraud investigation and risk activities.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to make real time, informed decisions.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable with technology; ability to navigate and understand new systems and platforms.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Flexible to work weekends; regular schedules assigned by seniority.
