**Program Coordinator, Latin America Program**

The Program Coordinator for Latin America is responsible for ensuring the smooth and effective implementation of RRI’s strategies in the Latin America region, as well as contributing to RRG’s global activities and outreach. Effective and proactive decision-making will be required to ensure the goals and vision agreed to by RRI’s Partners, Collaborators and Program team are carried out.

The Program Coordinator will proactively manage the implementation of planned activities in a dynamic environment of shifting priorities, overcoming impediments, and problem-solving while maintaining effective communication and teamwork with the Director of the Latin America Program, Senior Management, staff and coalition members across the region. The Program Coordinator will achieve this through a broad range of duties, including technical, administrative, and supervisory tasks. He/she will have proven field experience in the Latin America region and knowledge of the regional political context and of the collective tenure and resource rights of Indigenous Peoples, Afro-descendant Peoples, local communities and the women within these groups.

The Program Coordinator will work under the supervision of the Director, Latin America Program, and in coordination with the Latin America Associate and regional facilitators.

This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC, USA or Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

**Primary Responsibilities**:
**1. Project Management and Technical Assistance**
- Manage the workplan and related strategies of the Latin America program to support the work of RRI’s Partner and Collaborator organizations active in Latin America.
- Coordinate administrative and technical tasks for the program with the Program Associate and supporting Partner and Collaborator organizations, building their capacity and ensuring effective compliance with RRG’s internal processes and program goals.
- Help convene RRI’s annual regional and country-level planning meetings in Latin America, ensuring effective discussions between RRG team and coalition members.
- Manage consultants contributing to the Latin America program, including negotiating compensation, developing terms of reference, and tracking and reviewing of deliverables.
- Prepare technical and progress reports on the program’s implementation and impact in accordance with donor guidelines and RRI’s monitoring systems.
- Coordinate the preparation of financial reports and financial projections related to program implementation, ensuring proper documentation of activities, outputs, and lessons learned.
- Manage the development and monitoring of program budget and expenditures to ensure its goals are achieved within the allocated resources and timelines.
- Support the Program Director in implementation of the Bezos Earth Fund project in the Amazon region, ensuring compliance with the project’s coordinating mechanism and clear communication between the project’s regional partners.
- Help the Program team identify and assess timely and strategic opportunities for funding under RRI’s Strategic Response Mechanism (SRM) in the region.

**2. Communications and Writing**
- Support the writing of clear and concise technical text for inclusion in RRI’s analyses, working papers, and communication products (e.g., blog posts, social media campaigns, and opinion pieces) to illustrate the program’s impact.
