**Sudbury Retirement Manor, owned and managed by Bawa Group, is seeking a part time Maintenance Worker. Our team understands the need to go above and beyond their daily tasks and extend their hearts to provide the most enriching experience for our residents.** **Requirements**: - **This is a "hands-on" maintenance position.**: - **Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.**: - **Communicate effectively in English (verbally and written). French speaking is an asset.**: - **Excellent organizational and time management skills. Attention to detail.**: - **Experience in using Microsoft Office.**: - **Positive attitude and ability to work both independently and within a team.** **Duties and responsibilities include**: - **Routine tasks include preparing suites for move-ins, relocating model suite furniture, troubleshooting building system issues, maintaining building esthetics, completion of in-suite tasks, etc.**: - **Develop and implement a regular preventative maintenance program for the heating, ventilation, mechanical equipment, home interior, and exterior grounds.**: - **Follow the departments policy and procedure manual.**: - **Work collaboratively as a member of the team through sharing of expertise and knowledge.**: - **Be responsible for waste management, recycling, window cleaning, outside grounds maintenance, snow removal, grass cutting and landscaping.**: - **Manage relationships with suppliers and contractors.**: - **Participate on Health and Safety Committee.**: - **Monitor expenses to maintain departmental budget.**: - **Ensure all resident concerns are dealt with in a timely manner.**: - **Working knowledge and expertise in HVAC, building systems and equipment.**: - **Familiar with requirements and guidelines pertaining to Fire Code, Health & Safety, WHMIS, etc.**: - **Plan and oversee repair and installation activities.**: - **Conduct walk throughs to inspect facility and identify and resolve issues.**: - **Maintain maintenance logs.** **Job Type**: Part-time Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 15 per week **Benefits**: - Dental care - Extended health care Schedule: - Morning shift - On call - Weekends as needed Licence/Certification: - Driver's License (required) Work Location: In person
