Do you have a mechanical aptitude? Do you enjoy assembling metal components? The position performs various testing on assembly and sub-assembly operations and correcting any issues that arise.

**Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)**:

- Assemble fabricated parts/units for Sumitomo gearbox products at floor stations.
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.
- Test units and identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repair as necessary.
- Place and retrieve inventory from warehouse shelves.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings.
- Ability to modify gearbox units to meet order requirements.
- Ability to competently use a variety of measuring tools (micrometers, bore gauges, height gauge, etc.).
- Quality oriented
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices.
- Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances.
- Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5 Years of experience with industrial gearboxes and power transmission products.
- Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing principals and 3S.
