Job Overview

Candid Trucking Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive **Safety and Compliance Coordinator** to oversee and manage our safety programs and ensure full compliance with transportation regulations. This role is critical to maintaining our commitment to safe operations, regulatory excellence, and a culture of accountability across our fleet and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
- **Regulatory Compliance**:

- Monitor and enforce compliance with federal, provincial, and local transportation regulations (DOT, CVOR, FMCSA, NSC).
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and legislative changes.
- **Safety Program Management**:

- Develop, implement, and continuously improve company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- **Driver & Staff Training**:

- Organize onboarding and ongoing training sessions for drivers and staff on safety protocols, HOS regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain training records and certifications.
- **Incident Management**:

- Investigate accidents, violations, and near-misses.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records including driver qualification files, vehicle maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.
- Prepare for and respond to internal and external audits.
- **Technology Oversight**:

- Monitor and manage ELD systems and fleet safety software (e.g., Samsara).
- Analyze data to identify trends and improve safety performance.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in safety, compliance, or fleet management within the trucking industry.
- Strong understanding of DOT, FMCSA, CVOR, and NSC regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management platforms.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Certification in Transportation Safety or Occupational Health & Safety is an asset.

Pay: $36,944.79-$65,429.52 per year
