Reporting to the General Manager, the **Manager of Health and Safety **is a key member of our leadership team, responsible for overseeing a comprehensive range of health, safety, environment, and quality functions. This role will require strong leadership, strategic thinking, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance are upheld across all company operations.

**Job Duties**:

- Championing the Company Competency Certification program
- Conducting regular worksite audits (WSA’s) on field employees to ensure competency
- Leading and supporting the Company Health and Safety Program and initiatives
- Demonstrating exemplary leadership to inspire and guide the organization
- Managing HSE incident responses
- Overseeing Claims Management / WCB
- Hiring, and managing Safety Advisors for project requirements
- Providing HSE leadership training to project employees
- Enable ownership of safety by project leaders and their teams by providing them with proactive coaching and expert HSE guidance
- Updating HSE manuals with the latest best practices and regulations
- Executing internal and external audits for compliance and improvement
- Developing and presenting project close-out reports to customers
- Implementing, monitoring, and refining safety practices, policies, and plans
- Attending customer meetings (pre-job, kick off, progress, closeout, etc.)
- Ensuring company-owned equipment and facilities meet safety standards
- Providing instruction, guidance, and performance monitoring for workers
- Monitoring safety program effectiveness and required documentation
- Leading accident investigations, supporting claims resolution, and maintaining accurate records
- Upholding company rules, policies, and procedures for quality and safety
- Possessing comprehensive knowledge of provincial safety regulations
- Stationed at our main hub in Leduc and regularly travelling to Bravo Target facilities and customer sites
- Delivering effective presentations and facilitating training
- Stewarding the use of EHS management software throughout the company
- Taking on additional responsibilities as needed

**Requirements**:

- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) Designation or an acceptable alternative
- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or an equivalent amount of HSE experience combined with other qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) or equivalent is an asset
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive manager-level experience in health, safety, environment, and quality management
- Previous leadership roles demonstrating the ability to drive change and enhance safety culture
- Experience with Intelex would be considered an asset
- Ability to lead change initiatives and drive process improvements
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all organizational levels
- Ability to successfully complete a fit for duty and fitness to work assessment
