Toronto, Canada The Little Campus Full time

**The Company**:

- At The Little Campus, we know that little ones need a lot of TLC. That’s why our curriculum is loaded with tender loving care._

The Little Campus is a state-of-the-art Early Learning Centre located in Etobicoke, part of Toronto’s west end. Founded in 2020, we specialize in children from infants to preschool. What's the great thing about being the new kid on the block? We get to breathe new life into the industry — and one of our top priorities is how we treat our staff.

Our founder & president began her career in education, so it probably won’t come as a surprise that she has a huge amount of respect for those in the teaching profession and a true understanding of what this job entails. So you can be confident that you’ll be a valued — no, an invaluable — part of the TLC team. Not to mention, your health and happiness is really, really important to us. That’s why we pay more, offer an awesome benefits package, and give you the autonomy to run TLC’s Arts & Activities program (with the Whole Child in mind, of course — read more about our approach below). Plus, we’re invested in making our campus a fun place to workbecause as much as we love TGIF, we want you to LFTMT (look forward to Mondays too).

**Mission & Values**:
As caregivers and educators, TLC’s mission is to provide a safe and developmentally appropriate learning environment for all children — one that fosters a child’s natural desire to explore, discover, create and become a lifelong learner.

At TLC, we are believers in the ‘Whole Child Approach,’ a teaching style that ensures each child is healthy, safe, engaged, supported and challenged each day. Our staff works together to provide a warm, nurturing atmosphere.

**We know we’re repeating ourselves, but**: Our experienced director, highly trained teaching staff and specialists are valued and respected members of the TLC family. We love them as much as they adore the children in their classrooms (And yes, loving kids is a must-have for this role.)

**The Role**:
Let us take you through a typical day at TLC: After you arrive on campus (a little early), you’ll take a moment to catch up with your colleagues, review the day’s lesson plans, and make sure your supplies are organized and ready to go. As per TLC policies, you’ll kindly agree to store your cell phone in your locker during working hours — we don’t think it’s too much to ask you to be fully present while in the presence of little ones

You’ll spend your time bringing joy to each classroom — popping in to give the children their daily dose of movements and physical exercise while giving ECEs and assistants a well-earned break. Each day will look a little bit different. You might organize a ball game Monday, teach different dance movements on Tuesday, and assist little ones run walk their first mini-marathon on Wednesday. Get creative and guide children through their discovery of the joys and benefits of physical wellness.

In each classroom and outdoors, you’ll be sure to observe and document children’s involvement and interactions, and add to each child’s development portfolio. Portfolios will include examples of what our future little Gretzkys have done throughout their day — anything that will bring a smile to a parent’s face and create lifelong memories for the children to look back on with fondness.

With the help of our classroom teaching staff, you’ll also be responsible for maintaining a secure environment for the students in your care — ensuring no child is left unattended, and that all children are kept clean and safe. This includes supervising washroom routines, encouraging proper hand hygiene, and cleaning up together after a fun session.

**About You**:

- A social butterfly whose smile shines through in their eyes

we want to hear from you
