Listowel, Canada Synergy Services Inc. Full time

Situated in picturesque Southwestern Ontario, **Synergy Services Inc.** provides Ontario swine farmers with production, management, and logistics support for their businesses.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Acts as an advisor to the Management Team on finance, data management, and information technology as it relates to company strategy.
- Analyzes and presents monthly financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flows) for all Company businesses.
- Reviews and analyzes financial data as it relates to opportunities
- Recruiting, training, supervising, developing, motivating, and coaching team members.
- Oversees and is accountable for the Finance and Administrative teams’ preparation of monthly statements, cash flow forecasts/reports, journal entries, payroll and benefits, annual working papers for external accountants, etc.
- Identifies and implements changes that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes related to finance, data management, and information technology.
- Company liaison with Bankers, Accountants, Insurers, and Government Administrators.
- Develops, implements, and monitors systems for reporting on operational and financial variances.
- Ensures appropriate internal controls are in place for Synergy financial systems.
- Oversees corporate tax planning and compliance in conjunction with external accountants.
- Has a good understanding of relevant government programs, including those specific to agriculture.

**Key Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business or related discipline
- CPA preferred
- 10 years’ experience in accounting
- Experience in ERP implementation
- Team player with excellent communication and attention to detail
- Excellent supervisory skills including mentoring, coaching, and leadership
- Self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and self-directed environment
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Microsoft Excel and Office experience
- Experience within agri-business industry considered an asset
