Alma Care is on a mission to revolutionize postpartum care for Canadians. We offer premium postnatal services for optimal recovery and lasting family wellness. Our premium postnatal retreat, located in Yorkville, offers holistic care for Mama and baby, after birth.

After giving birth, parents come to stay at our all-inclusive hotel with their newborn. We provide access to expert postnatal care, nourishing food, 1:1 infant care and education, lactation consulting, night nurses, workshops, wellness services and more. We take care of mom so that she can be her best self to take care of her baby. This concept is novel in North America but a common practice in countries such as South Korea, China and Israel.

**About the Role**: Our Care Team Members become an extension of each new family who come under our care. They’re kind, knowledgeable, proactive and highly responsive. They demonstrate a high level of professionalism, while making the family feel supported. They are a trusted resource, shoulder and set of hands. They believe in our mission and are passionate about executing on it. They exude a calm confidence that supports family's physical and mental wellbeing throughout their postpartum journey.

Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Overnight shift (10pm
- 8am)
- Daytime shift (noon - 8pm)
- Lead 1:1 and group style workshops focused on infant care and maternal wellness
- Offer 1:1 overnight care inside the nursery or family's suite to support healthy sleep habits
- Support Mama through the feeding journey, proactively identifying goals and developing routines tor each them
- Prepare and serve meals, snack and beverages
- Ongoing check ins and support for Moms physical and mental wellbeing
- Hands on guidance for the parents through the vital aspects of newborn care such as sleep, feeding, routines, soothing, bathing and general care
- Educating and supporting Mom on the importance of, and how to recover after giving birth
- Providing emotional comfort, reassurance, and a listening ear
- Ensure that Mom and Baby are comfortable, safe and cared for at all times
- Baby care while mom rests, takes shower etc

**About You**:

- You have experience in hospitality or customer service
- You obsess over the details, delivering an exceptional guest experience
- You have professional hands on experience supporting women post birth
- Professional experience working with newborns
- Professional experience supporting the breastfeeding journey
- Professional experience supporting healthy sleep habits for a newborn
- Committed to excellent customer service when interacting with families, and colleagues.
- Maintain best practice, care standards and life-long learning in the care field.
- You demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
- You value the relationship you create with patients, their families and within the workspace
- You are dynamic and can adapt to high level stress situations
- You are resourceful, there’s no problem too big to solve.

- You're comfortable with caring for multiples

**Qualifications**:

- Registered Social Work OCSWSSW / Registered Nurse (RN, RPN) / Certified Postpartum Doula will be strongly considered
- Must have Perinatal care experience
- Vulnerable Sector Check (within a year)
- Valid Infant CPR (Level B) and First Aid Certifications
- Food handlers (preferred)
- Proof of personal insurance

Schedule
- Min 3 shift availability per week
- Flexible schedule (on call)
