We operate a Postnatal Retreat in Yorkville, Toronto and offer at home services across the GTA.After giving birth, parents come to stay at our all-inclusive hotel with their newborn, or have our team members bring the Alma Care experience home with them. We provide access to 24/7 care, nourishing food, education, lactation consulting, night nurses, workshops, spa services and more. We take care of mom so that she can be her best self to take care of her baby. This concept is novel in North America but a common practice in countries such as South Korea, China and Israel.About the Role: Our Postnatal Care Specialists become an extension of each new family who come under our care. They’re calm, confident, kind, knowledgeable, proactive and highly responsive. They demonstrate a high level of professionalism, while making the family feel supported. They are a trusted resource, shoulder and set of hands. They believe in our mission and are passionate about executing on it.They exude a calm confidence that supports family's physical and mental wellbeing throughout their postpartum journey.Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:Developing healthy sleep habits for family - routines, schedules and development plansOngoing check ins and support for Moms physical and mental wellbeingGuiding and supporting Mom through the vital aspects of newborn care such as sleep, feeding, routines, soothing, bathing and general careEducating and supporting Mom on the importance of, and how to recover after giving birthProviding emotional comfort, reassurance, and a listening earEnsure that Mom and Baby are comfortable, safe and cared for at all timesPrep and serve mealsImplement and guide Alma Care workshops on relevant postpartum and baby care topics1:1 Baby care while mom rests, takes shower etcAbout You:You’re a Social Worker, Registered Nurse, Certified Postpartum Doula or Registered Midwife in Canada, with a strong background of supporting families during their postpartum journey.Professional experience working with newbornsYou are a night owl and someone who loves to keep careful watch over infants, maintinaing a feeding and sleep schedule that builds healthy habits for the entre familyCommitted to excellent customer service when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues. Experience in the hospitality sector, namely in the hotel industry, is a strong asset.Maintain best practice, care standards and life-long learning in the care field.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and writtenYou demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skillsYou have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.You value the relationship you create with patients, their families and within the workspaceYou are dynamic and can adapt to high level stress situationsYou are resourceful, there’s no problem too big to solve.You believe in the Alma Care mission and are an ambassador and a true representation of the brandExperience with multiples is an assetQualificationsRegistered Social Worker OCSWSSW / Registered Nurse / Certified Doula / Registered MidwifeMust have Perinatal and Infant care experienceVulnerable Sector Check (within a year)Valid Infant CPR (Level B) and First Aid CertificationsFood handlers (preferred)Proof of personal insuranceScheduleMin 3-7 shifts (overnight, weekends and holidays)Flexible schedule (on call)You are willing to commute within a 40km radius to clients homesYou have your own transportation (an asset) or reliable source #J-18808-Ljbffr
