**Objectives of this role**:
Delivery position: To service and strengthen our retail partner relationships by delivering products and nurturing relationship needs.
Production position: Operating machinery, labeling product, cleaning facility while carrying out quality checks and adhering to the rules and regulations of a food manufacturing facility.
**Daily Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for driving & servicing retail accounts with our frozen sausage products and excellent customer service. Strong physical body and strong communication skills are critical.
- Work on the production line with consistent speed and accuracy (tray raw sausage, packing frozen sausage)
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with all safety guidelines
- Perform production changeovers for products while controlling the computer panels with packaging indicators
- Ensure proper weight, description, and date is recorded on the label
- Responsible for tracking packaging materials for usage/loss rates, maintain packaging machine logs and will be required to participate in process improvement initiatives
- As with all team members you will play a critical role in quality control carrying out quality control checks during machine operation, ensuing that product passes the specified quality specifications
- Collaborate with team members and work with Supervisors, Management and the Maintenance Team to report and resolve production issues
- Ensure all legislated and company issued Policies & Procedures are followed. Where governing bodies include and are not limited to WorkSafe BC, COR, Non-GMO, WHMIS, etc.
- Actively take part in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs / initiatives
- Participates in practical cleaning of the facility to ensure a sense of ownership in our high standards of food safety.
- Acts in a manner consistent with health and safety policy, which includes wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while in production facility and reporting all First Aids, Hazard Observations or Near Misses immediately
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
