Algonquin Park Summer Camp Baker

Camp Tamakwa in Algonquin park is seeking a Baker for the 2025 Camp Season.
We are a children's residential summer camp hosting 250 campers and approximately 100-150 staff on south Tea lake.
The Head Baker will be responsible for preparation and organization of Breads and deserts for all residents serving sweets deserts at lunch and dinner 1 piece per person. Bread production for breakfast and other bread products as requested by the head chef. Eg. Garlic bread pizza crusts etc. Small birthday cakes for campers. And a Night snack for campers during cabin time.
In the spring and fall the camp hosts Weddings, school groups and corporate events in the range of 100-200 guests.
The Baker should be well versed in from scratch production. Time management and cleanliness are very important to this role.
The Head baker is supplied with a Bakers assistant to aid in the production of all bakery items.
The position will run from the end of may through the beginning of October.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, with a strong background in the food industry.
- Excellent customer service skills and knowledge of food safety and handling practices.
- Demonstrated baking skills, including cake decorating and other baking techniques.
- Prior experience in a restaurant setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with packaging processes related to food products.
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3-4 months
Pay: $1,000.00 per week
